Provincial Incentives Announced February 19th
More Grants. Cheaper Evaluations. ($75 total cost to homeowner)

There are now grants available to you through ecoENERGY Retrofit - Homes (Federal), Live Smart BC (Provincial) and utility companies. Sage Energy Solutions is your key to access this money.

Homes account for one third of British Columbia's total greenhouse gas emissions.

A new three-year, $60 million LiveSmart BC: Efficiency Incentive Program will help British Columbians reduce their carbon footprint through energy efficiency upgrades to their homes. Beginning in spring 2008, the LiveSmart BC: Efficiency Incentive Program will give homeowners access to rebates for audits and energy efficiency incentives.

Funding for this program runs until March 31, 2011.

The LiveSmart BC: Efficiency Incentive Program also includes energy audits for small businesses, and low income housing. These components will be launched in the coming months.

The program will help British Columbia achieve its target of reducing greenhouse gas emissions to 33 per cent below current levels by 2020 and 80 per cent below current levels by 2050.

The Province reserves the right to update program information including grant amounts, as required.

How Do I Apply for the Grants?

Step 1: Call us to schedule an ecoENERGY Pre-Retrofit Assessment

Step 2: Undertake energy upgrades (You have up to 18 months)

Step 3: Have Post-Retrofit Assessment

Step 4: We will submit all grant applications for you.

Step 5: You will receive two cheques in the mail, reflecting provincial, utilities and federal incentives: one from LiveSmart BC and one from Natural Resources Canada.

How Much Does All This Cost?

You will pay $150 for the Pre-Retrofit Evaluation.
The Efficiency Incentive program will pay us for the remaining portion of the cost.
You will receive a refund of $150 for the evaluation cost once you have made energy efficiency upgrades to your home, and you have completed the second energy evaluation.

You receive a full energy audit of your home, a 10+ page report, and access to Federal, Provincial and Utility Company Grants and you only pay $75.00.
